What are your must-have WordPress plugins?

Hello everyone!

I’m curious to find out which plugins you consider essential for a WordPress site. I’m not looking for anything specific, just interested in seeing what others are using and why.

What are the plugins you always install on every new site you create? And why do you consider them indispensable?

Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences and recommendations!

  • Wordfence, because security is important.
  • UpdraftPlus/BackWPUp, because redundancy is important.
  • WPCode, because low/no code solutions aren’t always good enough.
  • ACF, because efficiency is important.
  • WP Migrate, because when I move, you move (just like that).
    • Edit: I know UPM and others can do this too, but migrate is still a decent product and can be easier to use for some folks. Also, I really wanted to quote Luda.
  • WPForms/Gravity Forms, because for some reason, WP doesn’t have baked in form functionality.
  • Redirection, because dead links aren’t fun or functional.

My top picks for WordPress today is

Rankmath for seo

Sitekit for analytics

Breakdance for page builder

Imagify for image compressions

Wprocket for speed

And finally managewp to run all our websites ( currently 200 + owned and support for our customers)

ACF, Redirection, Simple History (for tracking client changes), GDPR Cookie Compliance (works well with GA4 & Tag Manager), Contact Form 7, Yoast SEO and ActiveCampaign Postmark

All of the above is our usual initial setup for new client websites.
